FAQ

So what is BYB, exactly?
BYB, or BYB, is an Australian creative growth studio. We map your growth plan, sharpen your positioning and messaging, then build the brand and systems that turn attention into revenue. Your marketing is treated as one joined-up system, not a pile of disconnected deliverables. Source
What does 'zero grey areas' actually mean?
It's our commitment to radical transparency on timelines, budgets and results, because surprises belong at birthday parties, not in business. In practice, that means clear fixed-fee options before you commit, realistic timelines based on your own data, and no long-term lock-in needed to start. Source
What does 'position your business where the world is going' mean?
It's about building for how people actually find businesses now. We build your brand identity first, then bring in technology to execute it: custom AI for marketing, content structured so Google and AI assistants can understand and recommend you, and a clear plan based on the trends we track. Source
Do you work with law firms and other professional services?
Professional firms are a core part of who we help. Our most recent testimonial comes from Aakarsh Shah, Principal Lawyer and Founder of MAD Immigration Lawyers in Melbourne, who said BYB brought so much clarity and consistency to his growing firm. The free 20 minute discovery call is a good place to start. Source
Are you only for big companies with big budgets?
You don't need a massive budget to work with us, just the right focus. We recommend a plan that matches your goals and capacity, and our latest client specifically mentioned getting real value 'without breaking my pocket'. The free 20 minute call helps work out what's worth spending on first. Source
I'm a solo founder just starting out. Can you still help?
Founders are one of the groups we work with, and our brand strategy work suits new businesses that need a strong strategic foundation from day one. You can start with one focused piece of work and build from there, and the free discovery call will show you what to tackle first. Source
We're an established business, not a startup. Is BYB still relevant?
Businesses with an existing service, offer or client base are a big part of who we help. Often the issue isn't starting from scratch but a website that doesn't convert, tools that don't talk to each other, or positioning that's drifted, so we start by auditing what's already working. Source
Who is BYB probably not the right fit for?
If you're after guaranteed rankings, leads or sales, we're honestly not your studio, because those depend on platforms and markets nobody controls. We're also not a logo-only shop. We're best for businesses who want a realistic plan, proper measurement and marketing that fits together. Source
Do you only do strategy, or do you actually do the work?
We do both. We can lead the strategy and also execute the creative, content, SEO, websites, ads and automation. If you already have a team, we can plug in and guide them instead, so everyone is working from the same plan rather than pulling in different directions. Source
Do you handle social media as well?
Social plays a part, through paid social ads on platforms like Meta and LinkedIn and through our content creation and management work. We usually treat it as one piece of a bigger system rather than a standalone channel, and the first call helps work out how much weight it deserves for your business. Source
Do I need to know what I want before I talk to you?
Not knowing is completely normal, and working it out is exactly what the free 20 minute call is for. We map your goals, bottlenecks and budget, then recommend the fastest practical path, which is often a mix rather than one channel. You'll leave with clarity even if you don't hire us. Source
Do you have a portfolio or case studies I can look at?
Our website currently features a client testimonial rather than a full case study library. If seeing relevant examples matters to you, raise it on the free 20 minute discovery call, which is the best place to ask about work that's comparable to your own situation. Source
What's actually included in your brand strategy work?
It runs in four stages: a strategic deep dive into your market and positioning, your messaging and tone of voice, your visual identity, and then governance so it all stays consistent as you grow. The point is that your website, ads, socials and sales conversations all sound and look like the same business. Source
I just need a logo. Can we skip the strategy bit?
Honestly, we don't do logo-only projects, because a logo without strategy is just decoration. We need to know who you're talking to and why they should care before we design anything. That way the assets actually work for your business instead of only looking nice. Source
How long does a full brand engagement take?
Typically 8 to 12 weeks, depending on how complex your market is and how many stakeholders are involved. We move efficiently but we never rush the research, because that's the foundation for everything that follows. You'll get a detailed timeline during onboarding. Source
We already have an established brand. Is this even for us?
Absolutely, and repositioning actually takes more care than launching fresh, because you've got existing equity to protect. We audit what's working, work out why growth has stalled, and modernise your identity so you reconnect with your market without alienating the clients you already have. Source
What happens in the first phase, the strategic deep dive?
This is the research foundation: market segmentation (TAM, SAM and SOM), persona mapping and empathy profiling, competitive intelligence, your differentiated value proposition, and your mission, vision and values. You walk away with a Brand Strategy Document that becomes the single source of truth for your positioning and audience. Source
What do I get out of the messaging and tone of voice phase?
We define your brand archetype, build a core messaging matrix across awareness, consideration and decision, write your tone of voice guidelines, and craft your elevator pitch and storytelling narrative. It all comes together as a Messaging Toolkit, so your marketing and sales people use the same precise language. Source
What visual identity stuff do I actually walk away with?
You get a full logo system with primary, secondary and tertiary versions, a visual language covering colour, typography and imagery, and a brand style guide. We also set up digital asset management, so your team can find and use the right files easily. Source
Do we get proper brand guidelines or just a folder of files?
You get proper guidelines: a brand style guide from the visual identity phase, plus a Brand Governance Handbook in the final phase. We don't just send a zip file and disappear. The handbook sets the rules that keep your brand consistent long after launch. Source
What happens after you hand over the files?
We make sure your team can actually use what we've built. The final phase includes consistency training and stakeholder alignment, so everyone applies the new assets properly. It also includes scalability checkpoints for when you expand, so the brand holds together as the business grows. Source
Can you stay on as our ongoing brand team?
We can, if that suits you. Once the project is done, we can stay on as your dedicated brand management team on a retained basis. That means ongoing strategic advice and quality control, so your messaging stays sharp and on brand as you scale. Source
How much of my time is this going to take?
We do the heavy lifting on research, writing and design, but we need your thinking at key moments. You'll join the initial discovery workshops and the approval stages for strategy and design. The rest of the time you can get on with running your business. Source
Do we need someone on our side to manage the brand project?
We do ask for one dedicated point of contact from your team. That person handles assets, access and scheduling, coordinates with your leadership and gets inputs to us on time. Having one person in that role keeps the project moving and means we never have to chase for materials. Source
Will our brand be ready for AI search and AI assistants?
That's built into the final phase. We include AI readiness and structured brand data, so the way you describe who you are, what you offer and who it's for is consistent. That consistency makes it easier for Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT to understand you. Source
We're a brand new business. Is it too early for brand strategy?
It's a great time to do it. The first phase is designed to de-risk market entry with data-backed analysis. You launch knowing exactly who you're talking to, what makes you different and why customers should choose you. Source
We keep getting compared on price. Can branding fix that?
That's exactly the problem this service is built for. A clear position, sharp messaging and a distinctive identity help you stop competing on price alone. The aim is a market presence that supports higher margins and gives people a reason to choose you beyond cost. Source
Can you work with our in-house designer or marketing team?
Of course. We can lead the strategy and the execution, or plug in and guide a team you already have. For brand work, the Messaging Toolkit, style guide and governance handbook are designed so your own people can carry the brand forward consistently. Source
What's the first step if I want to work on my brand?
Book the free 20 minute discovery call. We'll look at where your brand is now, what's blocking growth and what to fix first. If we're a good match, we'll schedule a longer strategy session to map out the details, and you'll leave with clarity either way. Source
Do you build new websites, or only fix existing ones?
We do both. A brand plus website project typically runs 6 to 10 weeks, while our optimisation work sharpens a site you already have. If you're unsure whether to rebuild or improve what's there, that's a great question to bring to the free 20 minute discovery call. Source
My website looks nice but barely gets any enquiries. Can you fix that?
A good looking site that doesn't convert is a really common problem. We work on speed, user experience, mobile layout and Core Web Vitals, then set up tracking so you can see where visitors drop off. The free 20 minute discovery call is a quick way to spot where yours is leaking. Source
Why does website speed matter so much for SEO?
Speed shapes both how well your site ranks and whether a visitor sticks around long enough to enquire. That's why performance and Core Web Vitals sit at the very start of our process: there's little point writing great content for pages that load slowly or frustrate people on mobile. Source
Do we have to rewrite our whole website for SEO?
Not necessarily, and we'd rather not spend your money that way. We often find gold in your existing pages that just needs better structure or metadata. Where you're losing traffic to competitors, we create new pillar content to fill those gaps. Source
What does topical authority mean, and why should I care?
Topical authority means search engines and AI tools see your business as a genuine expert on your subject, not a site with a few scattered posts. Building it is the core goal of our SEO work, because being the default answer in your field lowers your long term cost of winning customers. Source
What on earth are GEO and AEO?
Generative Engine Optimisation and Answer Engine Optimisation are the terms we use for how Google and AI systems read your content. People are finding brands through ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI assistants more than ever, so we structure your content to be clear, trustworthy and easy for those systems to recommend. Source
What is schema markup and will you add it to my site?
Schema is structured data that tells search engines and AI tools exactly what your pages are about. We implement it during the technical phase, then build on it with FAQs, answer blocks and entity signals so machines can clearly understand who you are, what you offer and who it's for. Source
Why pay for SEO when I could just run ads?
Ads are like renting: the moment you stop paying, the traffic stops. SEO is more like buying a house, building equity that compounds over time and can eventually lower your cost per lead significantly. Ads give you speed, SEO gives you a lasting asset, and the right answer is often a mix. Source
How long does SEO take to actually work?
Technical fixes can deliver quick wins in the first month, but building real authority is a marathon. Clients typically see significant momentum in traffic and keyword rankings between months 3 and 6, and you get monthly dashboards so you can watch the trajectory yourself. Source
Can you guarantee we'll rank number one on Google?
No ethical agency can, because Google's algorithm is proprietary and changes constantly. What we commit to is best practice compliance, a strong technical foundation and a strategy built to grow your visibility and authority, with monthly reporting so you always know where you stand. Source
How will I know if the SEO is working?
You'll see it in monthly organic reporting dashboards, built so business owners, not just marketers, can read the return on organic search. We track real numbers like qualified leads, cost per lead, conversion rates and visibility growth, so progress is something you can point to. Source
Will you set up analytics and conversion tracking?
Tracking and measurement setup is built into this service, covering analytics, events and the reporting foundations everything else depends on. Without it you can't tell which pages bring in enquiries, and weak tracking is one of the most common reasons past marketing efforts fall flat. Source
What access do you need to get started on our website?
For the technical audit we'll need either a technical liaison on your side or direct access to your CMS so fixes can be implemented properly. That, plus your goals, budget and brand guidelines, is usually all it takes to get moving. Source
We already have a web developer. Will you step on their toes?
We're happy to work alongside them. We act as partners to your dev team, giving them clear remediation roadmaps that spell out exactly what to fix and why. If you already have people in place, we can plug in and guide them rather than replace anyone. Source
How much does SEO cost with you?
Pricing depends on the scope of what your site needs, so I can't give a ballpark figure, but you'll always get clear fixed-fee options before you commit to anything. Ongoing SEO and content work usually runs as a retainer, and there's no long-term lock-in required to start. Source
Is SEO a one-off job or an ongoing thing?
The technical fixes can be a focused project, but lasting SEO is ongoing, which is why it usually runs as a retainer. That gives us room to test, measure and improve over time, and to keep your content fresh as your business and your market change. Source
What happens when Google changes its algorithm again?
Algorithms change frequently and sit outside anyone's control, so we build on best practice rather than shortcuts. Our AI readiness phase includes continuous algorithmic vigilance and a content freshness and recalibration protocol, so your site keeps adapting instead of being caught out by the next update. Source
What's actually included in your email marketing service?
It runs in four phases: lifecycle strategy and segmentation, building your automated nurture flows and creative, deliverability and performance tuning, then revenue attribution and customer lifetime value (CLV) reporting. Each phase builds on the last, so you end up with a working system rather than a pile of one-off campaigns. Source
Is email even worth it anymore? Feels a bit old school.
Fair question. Your email list is one of the few marketing assets you genuinely own, and when it's run well it becomes a resilient, low-cost channel that keeps customers coming back. The old school part is batch-and-blast newsletters, which is exactly what we move you away from. Source
Our list is a total mess. Can you clean it up?
That's one of the first things we tackle. Phase I includes a subscriber data audit and hygiene protocol, and we clear out harmful spam trap addresses so they stop dragging down your sender reputation. Opt-ins and segmentation get sorted at the same time, so the list stays healthy as it grows. Source
What do you mean by segmentation, and why does it matter?
Segmentation means grouping your contacts by who they are and how they behave, so they only hear what's relevant to them. We build a segmentation matrix in Phase I and use behavioural triggers, like browsing history, to time messages well. Relevant emails get read; generic ones get ignored. Source
Our emails keep landing in spam. Can you fix that?
This is exactly what Phase III is for. We audit your technical setup, including SPF, DKIM and DMARC, clean spam trap emails off your list and run a domain warming protocol to rebuild your sender reputation with Google and Microsoft. Ongoing spam trap and blacklist surveillance helps keep it from slipping back. Source
Do you write the emails, or is that on us?
We take care of it. Our email service is full execution, including copywriting that matches your brand voice and responsive design that looks right on mobile. That means your emails sound like you rather than a template, and you're not stuck staring at a blank page every time a campaign is due. Source
Which email platforms do you work with?
We're platform-agnostic, but we specialise in Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign, so if you're on one of those we'll build on what you have. Share your current tech stack in the booking form and we'll come to the free 20 minute discovery call already prepared. Source
Do we have to switch platforms to work with you?
Switching isn't a requirement. Because we're platform-agnostic, we work with what you've already got wherever it makes sense. If your current platform is genuinely limiting your growth, we can manage the migration to a better-suited tool during Phase I, but only where it clearly helps your business. Source
My list is pretty small. Is this even worth it?
Small lists often have the highest engagement rates, so they're a great place to start. Building your automation before you scale means you don't leak leads as you grow, and Phase I includes lead capture optimisation to help you grow that list faster. Source
People enquire and then go cold. Can email help with that?
That's a really common leak. Automated nurture sequences and instant follow-ups mean every enquiry hears from you quickly and keeps hearing from you while they decide, instead of relying on someone remembering to chase. We can also connect your forms and CRM so nothing falls through the cracks. Source
Do you do SMS as well as email?
Email is the core of this service, but SMS nurturing sits alongside it in our automation work. Things like booking reminders, follow-ups and reactivation messages can run across both channels, depending on your tools. If SMS matters for your business, mention it on the free discovery call and we'll factor it in. Source
How soon will we actually see a return?
Some flows pay off quickly: a well-performing abandoned cart flow, for example, can generate revenue within 24 hours of launch. The bigger gains, like higher customer lifetime value, usually become visible after three to six months of consistent nurturing, so it's worth treating email as a long game too. Source
How will I know if email is actually making us money?
Phase IV connects email performance to revenue. We build email-to-revenue attribution and a CLV-focused dashboard, so you can see which campaigns and flows contribute to the bottom line, not just which ones got opened. Email stops being a nice-to-have and becomes something you can measure and plan around. Source
What numbers will you report on?
We track opens, clicks, conversions and list growth, then go further by tying email activity back to revenue and customer lifetime value. You also get a long-term campaign roadmap, so the reporting points to what happens next rather than just looking backwards. Source
Do you test subject lines and stuff, or just guess?
We test properly. Phase III includes continuous A/B/n testing on things like subject lines and calls to action, alongside engagement monitoring. Instead of relying on gut feel, the data shows what your audience responds to, and we keep refining from there. Source
Can your email work plug into our CRM and other tools?
That's part of the plan. Phase IV includes platform integration governance, and through our automation work we connect forms, CRMs and notifications so contacts flow into the right email sequences automatically. Your email isn't sitting in a silo, it becomes part of one joined-up marketing system. Source
What does your paid ads service actually include?
We plan, launch and optimise your campaigns end to end: offer positioning, Google and social ad setup, creative testing, landing page conversion tweaks, tracking with GA4, pixels and UTMs, then ongoing optimisation and reporting on lead quality and cost per lead. The aim is turning clicks into real enquiries, not just traffic. Source
Which ad platforms do you run campaigns on?
We go where your profit is. That might be Google Search to catch people already looking for you, LinkedIn for B2B authority, Meta for scale, or YouTube and Display when they fit. Budget is allocated on performance data, not platform bias, so you're never stuck in a channel that isn't pulling its weight. Source
Do you make the ads or do I have to supply them?
We create them for you. Performance creative is different from brand creative, so we design assets built to stop the scroll and earn the click, handling the copywriting, design and test variations ourselves. You approve them, and testing shows which headlines, hooks, visuals and formats actually win. Source
My website isn't great. Should I fix that before running ads?
It's worth looking at both together, because sending paid traffic to a slow or confusing page wastes budget. Landing page conversion work, covering speed, layout, calls to action and forms, is part of how we run campaigns. If your site needs deeper work, we'll show you where that fits on the discovery call. Source
We've run ads before and wasted money. Why would this be different?
Most failed campaigns come down to unclear goals, weak tracking, inconsistent execution or no conversion strategy. We start by auditing your pixels, tracking and account structure so you can see what went wrong, and we don't scale spend until real efficiency signals show up. No burning budget on campaigns that aren't working. Source
Can you guarantee a certain ROAS?
Anyone promising a ROAS figure before seeing your data is guessing, because markets shift. What we commit to is the method: we hold back on scaling spend until the efficiency signals are there, and every decision rests on real numbers. Markets fluctuate, but the maths doesn't. Source
How do you know which ads actually brought in revenue?
We set up tracking properly from the start with GA4, pixels, events and a clean UTM structure. Later we add multi touch attribution reporting and executive dashboards, so you can see how paid media connects to real revenue rather than guessing from whichever ad got the last click. Source
What happens before the campaigns go live?
Phase II builds the technical foundation: a pixel and tracking audit, ad account structuring with clear naming conventions, a creative testing framework and landing page CRO. It sounds like housekeeping, but clean infrastructure is what lets us test quickly and trust the numbers that come back. Source
How do you scale a campaign once it's working?
Scaling happens in Phase III, and we do it carefully. We refine bid strategies, analyse geo targeting and demographic exclusions, manage scaling thresholds and watch for creative fatigue. The goal is a lower effective cost per acquisition as spend grows, rather than extra budget simply buying more expensive clicks. Source
What does your automation service actually do for a business?
We audit how work moves through your business, connect your tools and build automations that cut manual work and protect your data. That means leads moving from forms into your CRM, follow-ups firing on time and your systems staying in sync, so your team spends its time on clients rather than admin. Source
Do you just set up Zapier zaps?
We go a fair bit deeper than that. Zapier is fine for simple tasks and we do use it, but we specialise in n8n and custom webhooks. These handle complex logic and higher data volumes without the restrictive costs of simple no-code tools. Source
Can you move our existing Zapier workflows across to n8n?
That's part of our scalability work. Phase IV includes Zapier to n8n migration architecture alongside total cost of ownership optimisation, so you build on what you already have rather than starting from scratch. You also get an honest feasibility assessment before anything is moved. Source
Can you automate any software we use?
If a tool has an API or a webhook, we can almost always connect it, and that covers most modern CRMs, ERPs and marketing platforms. If something is legacy or closed, we'll tell you straight during the audit whether it's feasible or suggest a modern alternative. Source
Is our customer data safe when you automate things?
Security is built into every step. We use industry-standard encryption, secure webhooks and restricted API tokens, and we build the secure pipes that move your customer data between your own protected accounts rather than keeping it on our servers. Our privacy policy also explains how BYB stores the information you share with us. Source
How much time will automation actually save us?
Phase I measures exactly that, through a time-in-motion study of your current processes. For a mid-sized operation, our workflows typically save 20 to 40 hours of manual work a week. Your own number depends on your processes and gets quantified before anything is built. Source
What marketing tasks can you automate for us?
Most of the repetitive ones that keep leads moving: lead capture, instant follow-ups, booking reminders, CRM updates, review requests, email and SMS nurturing, reactivation campaigns, reporting and internal notifications. The point is that you spend more time on your business and fewer leads fall through the cracks. Source
Can you automate follow-ups from my website form?
That's one of the most common places we start. We set up lead capture and routing so a form submission lands in your CRM, triggers the right notifications and starts follow-ups straight away. That speeds up your response times and stops enquiries sitting unanswered. Source
What can you automate inside our CRM?
We automate the housekeeping that usually slips: pipeline movement, tasks, tagging and follow-ups. That keeps your records complete and consistent, so your team can trust what they're looking at instead of relying on someone remembering to update every contact. Source
Can you automate internal stuff, not just marketing?
Absolutely. Internal admin is often where a lot of manual friction sits. We build workflows for handoffs, approvals, reminders and reporting, plus client onboarding and project scoping flows, so work moves between people to a consistent standard instead of someone having to chase it. Source
What happens in Phase I of an automation project?
Phase I is a strategic process audit. We map your processes, find the high-friction bottlenecks, assess how well your current tools talk to each other and design the trigger-action logic. It ends with an Automation Blueprint that quantifies expected efficiency gains and technical requirements. Source
What do we actually get at the end of Phase II?
You get a working suite of automations: lead-to-client management, client onboarding and project scoping, internal approval flows, and the API and webhook configuration that ties it all together. The aim is less manual data entry, faster client delivery and repeatable internal standards. Source
What's covered in Phase III?
Phase III is about data integrity and ongoing oversight. It covers bi-directional data sync between your systems, an executive BI dashboard, proactive alerting and threshold monitoring, and error handling with resilience testing. The result is that your operations show up as real numbers you can act on. Source
What's Phase IV about?
Phase IV is about scaling and future-proofing. We look at your total cost of ownership, plan any move from Zapier to n8n, build in custom business logic and give you an honest feasibility assessment. That way the system can handle your complexity without hitting no-code limits. Source
Can you show us where leads are dropping off?
That's what workflow analytics are for. We track response speed, lead quality signals and funnel drop-offs. You can see exactly where enquiries stall and fix the right step first instead of guessing. Source
How do you decide what to automate first?
We work it out from the numbers rather than gut feel. In Phase I we build an Automation Opportunity Matrix and quantify the return on automation for each bottleneck. That way the first things we build are the ones that remove the most friction for your business. Source
Isn't this overkill for a business our size?
It might be, and if so we'd rather tell you than sell you something you don't need. The free 20 minute call looks at what's actually blocking growth. You'll leave knowing whether automation is the right first step or whether something like visibility or conversion should come first. Source
Can you build custom logic around how our business works?
That's where n8n and custom webhooks earn their keep. We can integrate custom business logic and configure APIs and webhooks around how you actually operate, rather than forcing your processes to fit the limits of a simple no-code tool. Source
What actually happens on the free 20 minute call? Is it just a sales pitch?
It's a quick, practical chat about where your business is now, what's blocking growth, what to fix first and what a realistic plan could look like. We keep it focused because your time matters, and you'll walk away with more clarity even if you never hire us. Source
How do I book a call with BYB?
Head to our booking page, pick a time that suits you and lock in your slot. The call runs for 20 minutes over Zoom, and available times are shown right there on the page, so there's no back and forth over email to find a time. Source
How much does it cost to work with you?
There isn't one set price, because it depends on the service and the scope of the work. What you can count on is clear, fixed-fee options before you commit, so nothing about pricing is hidden. The discovery call itself is completely free. Source
What if we want extra work that isn't in the quote?
We deliver what's described in your quote, proposal or invoice. Anything outside that scope is either charged at our standard hourly rate or quoted separately, which keeps expectations clear on both sides and stops scope from quietly creeping. Source
Do you need a deposit upfront?
For larger projects, such as a website build, we may ask for a 50% deposit before work starts. It's set out in our Terms and Conditions, and it's worth raising on the discovery call if you're planning a bigger build so you know where you stand. Source
How quickly do I need to pay invoices?
Invoices are due within the timeframe shown on each one, which is typically 7 or 14 days. If you ever have a question about a specific invoice or payment terms, email letus@buildyourbuzz.today and the team will sort it out with you directly. Source
What happens if an invoice goes unpaid?
Our terms allow us to pause work, or take down live websites, if an invoice remains unpaid after 30 days. If anything is holding up a payment, it's worth emailing letus@buildyourbuzz.today early so the team can talk it through with you. Source
Will I get locked into a long contract?
No long-term lock-in is needed to start. We'd rather earn your trust through clarity and results than tie you down, and either party can end an engagement with 30 days' written notice. If it's not a fit, you won't feel stuck. Source
How do I end an engagement if it's not working out?
Give us 30 days' written notice, with payment due for the work completed up to that date. For anything specific about a refund, cancellation or your contract, the BYB team handles it with you directly, so email letus@buildyourbuzz.today. Source
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on scope, but a brand and website project usually runs 6 to 10 weeks. SEO, content and automation work tends to be ongoing instead, because it improves through testing and measurement over time rather than finishing on a fixed date. Source
What do you need from us to get started?
Very little. Access to your key accounts or a shared folder, your current goals, your budget, your branding guidelines, and 30 to 60 minutes of your time at the start so we understand your business. We handle the heavy lifting from there. Source
Can we start small before committing to everything?
You can start with one focused project, like a new website, an SEO and GEO setup or an automation audit, and expand later. We'll still make sure that first piece fits into a bigger plan, so it connects properly with whatever comes next. Source
Who owns the work once it's finished?
Once all fees are paid in full, you own the copyright to the final deliverables, such as your finished website, logo design and ad copy. BYB keeps ownership of the background tools, frameworks and pre-existing code used to build it. Source
Will you show our project in your portfolio?
Our terms give BYB the right to use completed work in our portfolio and marketing materials. If you have concerns about that for your business, raise it on the discovery call so you can talk it through with us before any work begins. Source
Where is my data stored? Is it kept in Australia?
We take a local-first approach. Your personal and business data is stored on secure servers in Australia, and where we use providers like DigitalOcean and Cloudflare, we configure them to keep data in their Australian zones wherever possible, under Australian legal protection. Source
Can I see, correct or delete the data you hold about me?
We respect your rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), so you can access your personal information, correct anything inaccurate or out of date, and request deletion, subject to legal retention obligations. Just email letus@buildyourbuzz.today to get it started. Source
What's BYB's liability if something goes wrong?
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 3 months before it. We're not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or data loss caused by third-party services like hosting failures, and our terms are governed by ACT law. Source
Is this actually worth the money?
It's worth it when you're fixing the right thing first, which is why we start by mapping your goals and bottlenecks rather than selling you a package. We then track real numbers like qualified leads, cost per lead, booked calls and pipeline value, so you can see exactly what your spend is doing. Source
Honestly, it sounds expensive.
That's a fair concern. A ballpark depends on the service and the scope, and we always give you clear fixed fee options before you commit, so nothing is hidden. The whole point is to stop you paying for random marketing activity and put your budget where it actually moves the needle. Source
Do I need a massive budget to see results?
You don't need a massive budget, just the right focus. We'll recommend a plan that matches your goals and capacity, and if ads make sense we'll advise a realistic spend range, because budgets too small to generate reliable data tend to waste money rather than save it. Source
Can't we just use ChatGPT for our marketing now?
AI assistants are now one of the places buyers discover businesses, which is exactly why we structure your content so ChatGPT, Gemini and Google can understand and recommend you. Whether AI tools could handle parts of the work in-house for your business is a great one to raise on the free 20 minute call. Source
Wouldn't a bigger agency be safer?
Bigger isn't automatically safer, and you don't need a long contract to find out whether we're the right fit. Aakarsh Shah, Principal Lawyer and Founder of MAD Immigration Lawyers in Melbourne, told us what stood out was us going above and beyond for a growing firm without breaking his pocket. Source
How long until I actually see results?
It depends on your starting point, but as a broad guide SEO, ads, socials and automation are judged over 3 to 6 months. We'd rather give you a realistic timeline based on your own data and goals than promise overnight wins, and that's exactly what we map on the first call. Source
Is anything quick, or is it all a long game?
Some things move fast. Paid ads bring clicks and data within days, technical SEO fixes can produce quick wins in the first month, and some email flows show impact soon after launch. The bigger gains, like stable ad efficiency after the 30 to 45 day learning phase or real organic momentum, take longer. Source
What if it just doesn't work?
We manage that risk from day one. On paid media, for example, we don't scale spend until we see efficiency signals, so budget isn't burned on campaigns that aren't working. And if the relationship isn't a fit, you won't feel stuck, because no long term lock-in is needed to start. Source
Can you just guarantee results then?
We won't promise specific rankings, sales or ROAS, because they depend on algorithms, market conditions and your own sales process, and no ethical agency can guarantee them. What we do commit to is sound methodology, clear measurement and decisions based on your real data. Source
Is GEO just SEO with a new name?
Honestly, there's a lot of overlap. GEO, AEO and AI visibility are the words we use for how Google and AI systems read your content, and on top of classic SEO the work adds things like schema, answer blocks, entity signals and an llms.txt file so AI assistants can understand you. Source
How will I know you're not just reporting vanity metrics?
We track the numbers that matter to your business: qualified leads, cost per lead, booked calls, conversion rates, pipeline value and visibility growth. Beyond that, we judge success by how much you've grown, how much more you're earning and how confident you feel working with us. Source
What is this assistant on your website?
It's Superstrate, the action layer BYB built and runs. It answers from BYB's own approved knowledge, can open the page that settles your question and can book you into a free 20 minute discovery call. It's an AI assistant, not a person, and it can be installed on any business website. Source
